About the Program

The course will help students to develop the skills to design, plan, create, implement, manage and market films. Students will exam the scope of the film industry, learn how to manage films in a sustainable manner and evaluate its outcome.

Course Objective:

  • To provide intensive theoretical and practical knowledge of Film Making.
  • To provide an integrated perspective of management functioning along with a fair amount of exposure to real life cases/technical know-how.
  • To impart understanding of the stages of Film making
  • To learn to how to manage time effectively, to manage human resources and volunteers.
  • To have insight about sound, light, camera handling and other resources.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
PO1 Analyze the historical and theoretical foundations of filmmaking.
PO2 Analyze story structure and the screenwriting process for use in the critique and creation of film
PO3 Create film work that manifests the filmmaker’s unique voice

Eligibility Criteria

Completion of 12th or graduation in any stream with a minimum of 50% from a recognized college or university.
