Dr. Ravi Gorane

Prof. (Dr.) R H Gorane, a distinguished academic and legal expert, began his educational journey at Fatima High School in Mumbai, graduating in 1973. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Mumbai University in 1977, followed by an LL.B. from the Government Law College, Mumbai, in 1980. He completed his LL.M. in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Law in 1996 at Mumbai University.

With over four decades in legal academia, Dr. Gorane started as an Associate Professor at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore, in 1998, advancing to full Professor at the National Law University, Jodhpur, by 2001. He held significant roles, including Dean and Registrar at Gujarat National Law University in 2004, and later at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, and SNDT – Juhu Law School.

Dr. Gorane has significantly influenced legal education, serving on various advisory councils, selection committees for Vice Chancellors and judges, and as an Ombudsperson, marking him as a luminary in the legal academic community.
