Deeksharambh - Invocation Ceremony 2024
Organized by: Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), PG Campus Indore.
On September 20, 2024, Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) organized Deeksharambh – an invocation ceremony at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore, to welcome its new batch of MBA, PGDBA, and PGDM students. The event, themed ‘Knowledge leads to Liberation’, was a grand affair attended by esteemed guests, faculty, and newly admitted students.
Programme Flow:
- The programme started with prayers to Lord Ganesha and the Godess of knowledge Saraswatiwhich was followed by the welcome of guests.
- The ceremony commenced with the welcome address and was jointly delivered by Dr. S.S. Bhakar, Group Director, PIMR, and Dr. Sanjeev Patni, Director, PIBM. They extended their warm greetings to the new students and set the tone for their future academic endeavours.
- A motivational address by Dr.Davish Jain, Chairman of Prestige Education Foundation. He urged the students to remain focused on their long-term goals and encouraged them to maximize their time at PIMR. His address highlighted the importance of vision and perseverance over the course of the next two years, as they embarked on their academic journey.
- Dr. Indira Parekh, former Dean of IIM Ahmedabad and Ex-VC of Flame University, graced the occasion as a special guest. A recipient of the PIMR Management Excellence Award 2024, she inspired students to remain humble, cultivate strong familial ties, and prioritize becoming good human beings as they balance their education and career. Her words focused on holistic development, both personal and professional.
- The PIMR Social Entrepreneurship Award 2024was conferred upon the Chief Guest, Mr. Shashank Mani Tripathi, a Member of Parliament and an alumnus of IIT Delhi. In his address, he referred to the students as the future leaders of a developed India and urged them to seek “selfless happiness,” which he explained could only be achieved by working for the welfare of others.
- The PIMR Leadership Award 2024was presented to Dr.Vikram Singh, Chancellor of Noida International University. He emphasized the importance of staying focused during the MBA program and encouraged students to develop into strong and ethical leaders. His speech reinforced the message of discipline and integrity as essential leadership qualities.
- Professor A. GopalakrishnanIyer, President and Promoter Director of REPA, addressed the gathering, motivating students to create a sustainable future. His focus on sustainability aligned with the broader theme of making meaningful, long-term contributions to society.
- Dr. Ajit Upadhyaya, the Conference Coordinator, unveiled the brochure for the upcoming International Conference. This moment marked the anticipation of a key academic event at the institute.
The Directors of other academic institutes under the Prestige Group were also present to mark the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Director IQAC, Dr. Deepak Jaroliya. The convener of the event was Dr.MurlidharPanga, while Dr.RashmiBadjatya conducted the proceedings smoothly and efficiently.
Overall, Deeksharambh proved to be a remarkable start to the academic journey of the new students, instilling in them a sense of purpose, leadership, and commitment to both personal and societal growth.
