Alumni Meet
Delhi-NCR chapter meet of PIMR Alumni Association was held on March 16, 2024 at Saket Social, Saket, New Delhi. 54 alumni based in Delhi NCR attended the meeting along with the Dr. Pranay Karnik, Honorary Secretary of PIMR Alumni Association and Dr. Debasis Mallik, Sr. Director of PIMR Indore. Dr. Debasis Mallik briefed the alumni about the recent developments in the institute, new programs, MOUs and collaborations, infrastructural developments, and the vision of the institute for the coming few years. Mr. Puneet Gupta, Independent Director, UTI Retirement Solutions, was invited as the guest of honor. He interacted with the alumni and emphasized the benefits of networking among alumni during his address. Alums across batches, interacted with each other, discussed opportunities, and extended their support for such initiatives in other major cities. They were also briefed about the PIMR Alumni App “Prestigean” and encouraged to use it to engage with each other and the institute.
Mumbai Chapter Meet of PIMR Alumni Association was held on February 18, 2024 at Powai Social, Powai, Mumbai 52 alumni based m Mumbai and suburbs attended the meeting along with the Dr. Pranay Karnık, Honorary Secretary of PIMR Alumni Association and Dr. Debasis Mallik, Sr Director PIMR Indore. Dr. Mallik briefed the alumni about the recent developments in the institute, new programs, MOUs and collaborations, infrastructural developments, and the vision of the institute for the coming few years. Dr. Bhaskar Das, Chairman of Ideatelabs and a seasoned professional with four decades of experience and having served in the top leadership of many prestigious media houses was invited as a guest of honor Dr. Das had a though provoking discussion with the alums about the need for constantly updating themselves for the dynamic challenges of the corporate world. Alumni, from the first batch of 1996 till the recent pass out batch till 2023 interacted with each other, discussed opportunities and extended their support for such intiatives in other major cities. They were also briefed about the PIMR Alumni App “Prestigean” and were encouraged to use the same for engaging with each other and the institute
The Alumni Cell of Department of Law organized Alumni Meet on September 23, 2023 with the objective of reuniting with former students and building network. Around 130 alumni joined us for this event which included interactive sessions, creative events for recognizing the excellence of our alumni in their professional world. Moreover, we felicitated each of our alumni joining this event with a customized memento as a token of appreciation.
To keep the alumni connected to their alma mater, the institute organizes regular alumni reunions. Recently, a reunion of the batch of MBA FT 1997 was scheduled in the institute on 31st August 2022 in PIMR PG Campus. Alumni based in various parts of India and abroad attended this reunion.Â
Silver Jubilee Reunion of the
Batch MBA FT 1996
Prestige Institute of Management and research Indore was started in the year 1994 completed 25 years of operations in the year 2019. To mark the milestone of this journey of PIMR, the Silver Jubilee Celebration was organized on 15th-17th November 2019. During the course of three days eminent speakers from the industry and various walks of life visited the institute and shared their wisdom with the audience. Along with this central India’s most popular annual festival Manthan was also organized as a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration. This Journey of 25 successful would not have been possible without the support and performance of our beloved alumni. Hence it was decided that the institute will be felicitating the first batch of PIMR, which includes the MBA FT 1996 batch, MBA PT 1997 batch and BBA 1997 with a silver medal. The Alumni Reunion 2019 was then scheduled on 16th November 2019.
Visit to the Institute and Interaction with the Students
One of the greatest assets of PIMR has been its Alumni. The PIMR alumni have proved their mettle in all walks of life. Their love and affection towards their alma mater keep them motivated to contribute towards the development of PIMR. They keep on visiting the institute for various engagement activities. Some of the activities and their impact are mentioned as follows-
Student Alumni Mentorship Program
The Student Alumni Mentorship program, with an objective to provide mentorship to existing students has been successfully run by the institute over the years. Alumni working in various industries were assigned to the various groups of students, targeting particular industries, as mentors and the alumni are continuously mentoring their respective mentees for preparing them for the campus drives and making them accustomed to the corporate life.
These alumni were added to the Whatsapp groups formed by the faculty coordinator with their assigned students and used to have regular group/individual mentoring sessions as per their availability.
Internship Support
PIMR alumni over the years have been helping the students get internships in their target industries. Alumni not only offer them internships in their respective teams, but they often play an important role in enhancing the reputation of the institute through their own performance which in-turn supports the hiring decisions of the recruiters in the institute.
Placement Support
The performance of the students hired earlier by the recruiters plays a very important role in regular hiring decisions. Most of the renowned brands keep on hiring from us based on the performance of PIMR Alumni. Specific preparatory sessions are being conducted for the students as per the requirement. Based on the requirement, interactive sessions with alumni are organized with the students to make them aware of the development, Also help them prepare for various companies coming for the campus drives.
Mock GDs and Interviews
Preparation for the campus drives is one of the areas where experience sharing gives a lot of input to the students. Mock Group Discussions and Mock Interviews provide current program students with an opportunities to practice interviewing skills in a simulated environment. Our alumni are actively involved in conducting mock interviews as they strongly believe that a mock interview provides the interviewee both an opportunity to practice and prepare for an interview.
After conducting these group discussions and personal interviews, alumni also discuss the key issues identified, inputs given to the students and the actions to be taken with faculty and director in brainstorming sessions.
Industry Orientation Sessions
To help the students make informed career choices, they are exposed to various industries. Industry professionals with a proven track record belonging to these particular industries are invited to interact with the students. For these programs, PIMR alumni have been engaged as experts as the students can relate much better to them and can get their guidance for their respective careers.Â
Involvement in Entrepreneurship
PIMR attracts a substantial number of students who want to be entrepreneurs. PIMR alumni guide these students through various platforms like Family Business Lab, Extra Mural Lectures, Industry Specific sessions etc. Some of such sessions are mentioned below

Alumni Inputs in Curriculum
The alumni provide feedback on the institute’s programs to help make it enriched and industry-relevant. Alumni also contribute as advisors in committees, industry experts and cooperative partners in projects with the institutions. Their practical industry insights improve the overall quality of learning and development. They help the institute in partnering with various organizations in conducting industry-oriented research which gives a practical exposure to its faculties and students.

The alumni as also invites to interact with the faculties and the administration This is done by involving them in the IQAC, Board of studies, Academic Council and The PIMR Corporate Advisory Board as members.Â

Alumni Involvement in Institutional/Student Events
The alumni of PIMR who made a mark for themselves are often been invited to the institute as resource persons in various events. As judges of academic and cultural events, PIMR alums have always contributed to the success of these events by giving their time and valuable input.Â
Alumni Involvement in Student Development and Grooming
PIMR leaves no stone unturned to make its students industry-ready. We regularly organize mock interviews and group discussions to make our students employable. In this context, the alums of the Institute working in senior positions in various organizations were invited as Interviewer to conduct mock interviews of the students on December 18-20 and December 23, 2023 The alums not only assessed the students but also provided valuable inputs and guidance to the students. They also shared the skills required to work in the industry and motivated them to work hard for a successful career in industry
