Embarking on this journey as the Director of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) has been an honor and a challenge, following in the esteemed footsteps of Dr. Yogeshwari Phatak, who dedicated nearly 14 years to nurturing and shaping PIMR into a distinguished institution in Central India.

Driven by a vision to elevate PIMR’s presence nationally and globally, our immediate focus was on enhancing the learning experience for our students. Collaborating with esteemed faculty colleagues, we revamped our vision-mission statements, laying the foundation for Learning Goals and Objectives across programs.

Every course now emphasizes an improved teaching-learning pedagogy, and our evaluation approach incorporates Bloom’s Taxonomy with a focus on experiential learning. As our student body is substantial, effective systems and processes play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless educational journey.

In response to the evolving world, we introduced innovative subjects like International Business Simulation – iBizSim, Design Thinking, Learning Management through Practice, Personality Growth Laboratory, Master Yourself, Project Management, and Social Project “Samvedna”, to promote non-classroom learning experience and equip students for unstructured environment.

What truly sets PIMR apart is the dynamic and enthusiastic faculty group. Their eagerness to embrace change and implement global standards is commendable. Under the patronage of our esteemed Chairman, Dr. Davish Jain, we conducted Faculty Development Programs with globally eminent academicians.

PIMR has earned its reputation as a vibrant Research Centre under D.A.V.V. With over 44 qualified research guides and numerous publications in esteemed journals, our focus is on maintaining high-quality research standards.

This past year marked significant international collaborations with institutions such as IÉSEG School of Management, Brandeis International Business School, Loughborough Business School, and New Mexico State University, UC Davis, London School of Business,
University of Illionois, and many more.

New initiatives, including the establishment of a Research, Training, and Consulting wing – CorpX, a center for family business enhancement – Exponentia, and a 1-year diploma program – PGDBA, showcase our commitment to innovation. Future plans involve creating centers of excellence in AI & Blockchain and Design Thinking.

Our work environment fosters collaboration and growth for faculty and staff, and we remain dedicated to enhancing students’ delight with a strong emphasis on value-based learning.

Established in 1994, Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore has a strong legacy of 30 years. The Institution has consistently grown in terms of quality of students, research, and industry networking. The Institute has been accredited by NAAC in ‘A and A++’ categories respectively in the last three consecutive accreditation cycles. The Institute has also enjoyed autonomous status since 2006 and the current autonomous cycle will complete in 2030.
Our prime location in one of Indore’s most developed areas adds to our appeal. The Institute is best known for providing top-class education aligned with industry requirements, ensuring a reasonable cost with a payback period of less than nine months after degree completion. We have signed MOUs with various international universities to facilitate student and faculty development.
The Institute has invested in state-of-the-art facilities, like smart classrooms, updated libraries with subscriptions to some of the best scholarly journal platforms such as EBSCO HOST and ProQuest, and supporting software for data analysis (IBM SPSS, Turnitin). Our advanced ERP system provides great administrative support and robust global engagement.
At PIMR, we prioritize the holistic development of our students, emphasizing rural development, skill development, and social engagement. The Institute ensures that the students develop a greater understanding of Bharat and their responsibilities towards their society and Nation. We aim to achieve this with our flagship programs such as Samvedna and Literacy Mission. Through our “Samvedna” program, students undertake a one-month internship with NGOs, gaining a deeper understanding of Indian society and developing empathy. This initiative allows our students to engage directly with rural communities, contributing to meaningful social change and gaining insights into the challenges and opportunities in these areas. As part of our Literacy Mission, we have established a dedicated facility on our campus known as the “Literacy Room”. This initiative focuses on providing foundational knowledge to underprivileged children from nearby slums. Our faculty and students volunteer their time and effort to teach these children. In addition to this, we also distribute stationery items, educational toys, and other learning materials to support their educational journey. We are aiming to align it with Sustainable Development Goal 4.0, which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Development of the urban poor and finding solutions to the problems of rural masses is the focus of these initiatives.
Our curriculum is designed to foster skill development as a core priority. We offer various functional clubs, Marketing Club, Finance Club, HR Club, and IB Club to name a few, that enhance industry readiness and hone students’ skills in the best possible way. We focus on practical aspects of business and industry, ensuring that students are equipped with the knowledge and abilities required to excel in their careers. The involvement of alumni in curriculum designing and conducting sessions is also instrumental in the skill development of students.
PIMR, Indore has a strong and vibrant Training and Placement Cell. We boast a strong placement record with top-tier companies recruiting from our campus every year. Our corporate partners include some of the best-known names across various sectors, providing our students with diverse career opportunities. The placement cell also facilitates internships, allowing students to gain practical experience and industry exposure during their academic journey.

With a vision to be leader in professional education, research and development, the undergraduate campus of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore is standing elevated with excellence and carrying forward the rich legacy of the Prestige Education Foundation in multiple folds. Going in sync with the cult of globalization and bettering students’ exposure towards the outer world and industry, the institute offers specialized and industry-ready programs such as BBA, BBA (FT), B. Com. BCA, and BAJMC to give their career and future endeavour, a great start. Our teaching pedagogy revolves around foundation making, skills enhancement, application approach and inclination towards research. The institute also promotes research at the undergraduate level and published some of the key projects undertaken by the students. We also conduct Value-added certification programs and provide industry linkages like the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and BFSI an apprenticeship program for B.Com students, Port visits for Foreign Trade students, IBM certifications for BCA and language proficiency certifications, to develop the knowledge base, improve skills and competency level and sharpen individual orientations. Maintaining a strong network with industry, professionals, mentors and tech enablers for enhanced learning for students has always been the key priority. Every year, we engage students under industry mentorship connecting them to different domains for experiential learning, corporate networking and guidance that can act as a gateway for their future endeavour. At the Department of Law at Prestige Institute of Management and Research Indore we educate lawyers and leaders in a fashion that is completely distinctive. Ninety percent of our students enroll in our law firm, and an extraordinary number of our faculty do substantial experiential work. We have a unique combination in offering management learning blended with various legal aspects in our UG programs that encompass Arts Commerce and Management. We are working round the clock to introduce innovative short certificate programs which need attention in the current legal framework to ensure our students constantly upskill themselves to remain competitive in the market.
