Bachelor of Arts (Honours/Research) in Psychology
Four Year – Semester Based Full Time Degree Program
BA (Bachelor of Arts) in Psychology is a four-year curriculum divided into six semesters that covers a variety of topics such as health, personality, human development, human behaviour, and cognitive functions encompassing the study of the human mind and behavior. It aims to provide students with an interdisciplinary understanding of the biological structure of the human mind, its behaviours, as well as cognitive-based psychology. After the completion of this program, you can work in different fields including Marketing, Human Resources, Advertising, Sales, Teaching, Counselling, etc. Psychology students learn to comprehend why people act in a certain way, how they respond to the world around them and which key factors might affect this. Master of Arts in Psychology
Two Year – Semester Based Full Time Degree Program
A Master of Arts in Psychology is a two- to three-year degree program that prepares you for a career in psychology. The curriculum typically includes coursework in research methods, psychological theory, and statistics. Often, students will also take courses that provide hands-on experience working in the field. As a Psychology post graduate, the candidate has many options or specializations for the work front. You can become a Clinical Psychologist, a Counseling or School Psychologist/Counselor, an Industrial Psychologist, or a Forensic Psychologist. It deals particularly with the study of behavior and mind including feeling, thoughts, emotions and many more. This course helps in providing in-depth knowledge of normal and abnormal mental states, emotional and social processes and how individuals relate to the challenging environment. The MA Psychology syllabus is very vast and focuses on teaching individuals to do critical analysis according to situations. The course is majorly research-based, data analysis and integrated studies. Some of the important topics include psychological testing, social psychology, personality, and organizational psychology and also involve case studies. The syllabus of MA Psychology is spread over into 4 semesters comprising core and elective subjects.
